Dr. Vinay Dhir is a general dentist and proud owner of Sunrise Village Dental. He was born and raised in beautiful Vancouver. He is a graduate of the University of British Columbia School of Dentistry. As a dentist, he aims to provide the highest level of personalized care possible to his patients. He also prides himself on being an excellent communicator and a gentle, caring professional. His dental interests are vast, and he stays up-to-date with all modern and current methods in dentistry by attending a number of continuing education courses annually. He looks forward to serving the dental care needs of the Vancouver (Sunrise-Hastings) community.

Dr. Karen Nguyen (General Dentist) was raised in Vancouver and is a graduate of the University of British Columbia where she achieved her Doctorate in Dental Medicine (D.M.D). She is passionate about her work and aims to build a comfortable environment for all of her patients. Dr. Nguyen enjoys communicating with her patients to help them find the most efficient dental treatment options.

Aside from her commitment to dentistry, Dr. Nguyen loves to relax and spend time with her family and friends. She also enjoys traveling to new places and trying different food so be sure to let her know if you have any recommendations! She looks forward to working with you to improve your oral health.

Dr. Tan (General Dentist) received her dental education from the School of Dentistry at McGill University. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree in China and worked as an internal medicine resident for three years before immigrating to Canada. She has obtained advanced training in oral sedation, root canals and implant dentistry. Away from dentistry, she enjoys reading, dancing and travelling with her daughter

I like to get to know my patients’ stories — who they are, where they are and where they’ve been, and what is important to them as individuals. Building relationships is one of the most rewarding aspects of providing treatment to my patients.

Our patients know her as a compassionate and trustworthy dentist, who cares about them and their dental health. Dr. Tan takes the time to talk with each patient to determine together what is best for them and their individual dental goals. Sarah graduated from CDI College in 2008 and is licensed as a Certified Dental Assistant. She worked as a temp before joining the office in 2010. Sarah enjoys her involvement with improving patients’ dental health and promoting a healthy smile. In her spare time, Sarah loves playing board games, watching movies and going on food adventures.
